http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZseVg8dZqQ absolutely superb

Departs Sundays and Wednesdays.

The moment you are welcomed aboard Pacific Sunrise you will feel as though you have stepped back in time to a traditional timber ship where high levels of service, low guest numbers and an atmosphere of distinction were the norm. At 33 metres, Pacific Sunrise includes 3 separate deck levels, 8 large ship style suites, a maximum of 21 guests and minimum of 4 crew.

Book early to secure the largest air-conditioned sailing vessel suites in the Whitsundays with accompanying fully equiped ensuites. You will be booking the specific room by name to ensure the comfort level that you desire.

Amongst the finely crafted timbers of this fully renovated traditional vessel, our fully functional galley, licensed bar and dining room with seating for all passengers, you will enjoy dining from our chef prepared A La Carte menu. Meanwhile our various secluded balconies and deck levels enable guests to find their own private space to enjoy the view of the beautiful Whitsunday Islands in restful peace while relaxing.

All inclusive in your Pacific Sunrise holiday is a journey amongst the natural beauty of the mostly uninhabited, heritage listed Whitsunday Islands region of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park for sailing, snorkelling, swimming, kayaking and interacting with marine life. There is also bushwalking and visits to the likes of Whitehaven Beach and other perfect locations amongst our beautiful 74 islands of the Whitsundays.

In addition Pacific Sunrise also offers scuba diving with a dedicated dive instructor offering resort, certified, and dive courses conveniently charged to your cabin.

We look forward to having you on board.

Whitsunday Facts
Bang Island (Solway Passage)
Bang Island is a local name given by the National Parks and Wildlife Service to the rocky island tied by a reef to the south-east corner of Whitsunday Island in Solway Passage.

In July 1990, during an inspection of the island, a national parks ranger found a large and live RAAF phosphorous flare on the shore-line. Because of the dangerous nature of the find a bomb-disposal expert was called in from the army at Townsville and the flare destroyed on 1 August 1990 by an explosive charge. The resultant explosion gave the island its name.
